The Associated General Contractors of New York State LLC (AGC NYS) results from a merger in 2009 of the General Building Contractors of New York State representing New York’s leading General Contractors and Construction Managers in the building industry and the New York State Chapter, AGC representing the leading contractors and specialty firms in the highway and transportation industry. Together, both associations also represented hundreds of firms associated with the New York’s construction industry. Today, the AGC NYS represents over 80 years of experience working with public agencies and private owners to deliver quality projects that are the lifeblood of our economy. Our members perform the majority of the public and private transportation, education, environmental and building infrastructure work in New York State. Our NEW AGC NYS LLC website is now under construction and hopefully will be up and running soon. In the meantime, this former NYS Chapter, AGC website at the same address has been temporarily updated to reflect ongoing events. As with any ambitious venture, this merger and our new website is a work in progress. Our historic programs and services continue and a strategic plan for the future is being put in place. Funding Efforts  One of the core missions of AGC is to increase funding for transportation infrastructure and create more opportunities for your business to grow. Regulatory Affairs  AGC is continuously working with government agencies to address regulations that affect your business on a daily basis. Legislative Affairs  We monitor over 300 construction-related bills per year, routinely blocking anti-business legislation from becoming law.
