Contractors Liability in Green Construction

March 30 — 9am-11am

Williams Club - 24 East 39th Street, NY, NY

Please join us for a presentation that explores the risks involved in building "Green", including LEED v3, and how the ConsensusDOCS Green Building Addendum addresses those issues.

Presenter and AGC NYS member Steven M. Charney, Managing Partner at Peckar & Abramson, served as co-chair of the AGC and ConsensusDOCS committees regarding "Green Construction" and as a principal draftsman of the Green Building Addendum - the first and only industry standard contract document for Green building.

Risks inherent in the green building process, such as certifications awarded by non-government entities, new building systems, decertification and whistleblowers, will be discussed.

Charney will also discuss the contract document, ConsensusDOCS 310 Green Building Addendum, which responds to many of the risks associated with green building by reducing and allocating roles, responsibilities and liability.
