The Specifications Committee is a forum for active problem-solving. Members meet regularly with NYSDOT and NSTA to collect and address conflicting intent and interpretation of Standard Specifications. The goal of the committee is to provide clear specifications and state-wide implementation of uniform procedures.
In good faith, the NYSDOT includes AGC NYS in the process of clearance review of draft Engineering Issuances. This committee is charged with reviewing the drafts and providing comment. This assures that industry has ample input in the specification development process.
Task groups focus on individual issues as needed. Participation is open and topics are collected through Topic Request Forms found on the Chapter website.
Meetings are held quarterly.
