CALENDAR OF EVENTSConstruction Career Days Committee
Construction Career Days are events designed to introduce high school students to the vast career opportunities and unlimited potential for advancement within the construction industry. The events are about Youth, Industry & Partnership.
These events are held in Albany, Buffalo, Finger Lakes, Ithaca, Newburgh, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Westchester and soon Long Island and NYC.
The programs are supported by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration, private companies and in many locations, labor. AGC members provide the bulk of the equipment and volunteer operators, as well as booths, cash and other contributions.
The State-Wide Committee meets on a regular basis to help assist local committees as the events are being planned. The volunteers on the local committees all have specific duties for the event. The committee is on-site the days of the event to ensure the event runs smoothly.
