Strategic Highway Funding Task Force - Fighting for increased funding for transportation infrastructure has always been one of the core missions of AGC. Those efforts are spearheaded by our Strategic Highway Funding Task Force. This Task Force convenes every year in early January to map out our strategy for the upcoming budget process at the State Capitol. The Task Force strives to develop a plan that represents the best use of our resources and will effectively broaden our support, strengthen our coalition and achieve identifiable results. When the legislative session convenes, the Task Force meets with lawmakers, conducts weekly conference calls with industry partners and often uses paid media advertisements to raise the profile of infrastructure spending in New York State. The Task Force coordinates the efforts of our PAC, Legislative and TCP committees in order to achieve our collective objectives.
