2017-2018 Construction Outlook, New Possibilities, New Risks

The new administration in Washington has raised expectations of more infrastructure funding, regulatory relief that will get projects approved faster and built more cheaply, trade and tax policies that will bring more manufacturing plants to the U.S., and stronger economic growth that will encourage many types of construction.

    • How realistic are these hopes?
    • How quickly might they happen?
    • What risks do these and other policy proposals carry?

Ken Simonson, Chief Economist for AGC of America, will provide his forecasts for different construction segments, crafts and materials, and discuss how policies from Washington might affect these forecasts–for better or for worse.
