DOT Roadside Safety Inspections & Hazardous Materials Compliance

Many construction industry contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers have learned about DOT Roadside Safety Inspections the hard way….. through their wallets! After having a truck pulled over and inspected by DOT and the State Police, many business owners have learned that non-compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations can be costly — in terms of both fines assessed and time lost.

On October 28, 2025, the opportunity for a less painful learning alternative will be provided to members of NESCA, AGC and ECA with the presentation of this seminar. Please be aware that all your company vehicles in excess of 10,000 pounds GVW are considered “commercial vehicles” for purposes of roadside inspections. So what exactly do DOT inspectors look for when they pull over one of your trucks for an inspection? Well, this question and many others will be answered at this seminar, which will include a “mock” vehicle inspection so that attendees will be able to see what inspectors look for first-hand. This seminar is intended for truck drivers and supervisors of truck drivers.
