Excellence in Partnering Competition

Partnering is a collaborative process where the project team – owner, constructors, designers – works collaboratively to achieve project success. By focusing together on Project goals, the team seeks to safely complete quality projects on (or ahead of) schedule and withing project budgets. A hallmark of partnering is good communication that fosters a network of commitments made and kept, resolves issues timely and in a manner that minimizes project impact and produces high levels of trust and respect among the team.

PURPOSE:

  • The purpose of this award is to recognize and honor project teams that have sought and achieved the high ideals of partnering, both formal and informal
  • This award is a recognition for the industry of what a collaborative approach can achieve

JUDGING FACTORS:

  • Demonstration of a common understanding of what project success means
  • Demonstration of a good communication processes and how it was used
  • Demonstration of the collaborative process has overcome project obstacles and taken advantage of project opportunities.
  • Demonstration of how partnering has contributed to achieving a successful project

PROJECT ELIGIBILITY:

  • Reached Substantial Completion by December 1 in the year of the award
  • Nomination Form must be completed and signed by project owner or a primary project stakeholder and contractor
  • Open to all contractors — AGC Members and Project Owners

Presentation of Awards are made at the AGC NYS Construction Industry Conference that is held each December in Saratoga Springs, NY. It will be held December 6-8, 2022.
