Region 7 Highway Meeting

Please join us for our Region 7 Highway Meeting at Clarkson University, Cheel Campus Center, 2^nd Floor, Building 39 on the campus map. AGC NYS–NYSDOT North Country Regional Meeting will be held at Clarkson University on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

We are working with Clarkson and NYSDOT to expand the event this year and make it more valuable for both
our members, NYSDOT and the students. The day is currently planned as follows:

10:00 AM–4:00 PM – Equipment & Technology Showcase
Clarkson is allowing AGC NYS and NYSDOT to have construction equipment on site throughout the day. We
would like to use this opportunity to highlight GPS, machine control, drone technology, and other technologies
being used in construction today.

NYSDOT has indicated that they plan to have a drone on site for a demonstration. If one of our members is
able to provide a small crane, it would also be a great opportunity to highlight how drone technology and
other digital tools are being used in conjunction with equipment in the field.

If your firm is able to provide a piece of equipment or technology demonstration, it would be greatly
appreciated. Please let us know what you are able to bring by September 11.

10:00 AM–4:00 PM – Mini Career Fair
At the same time, Clarkson will promote the event to its students as a mini career fair. This will give member
firms an opportunity to meet with students and discuss internships, co-ops, and career opportunities within the
construction industry.

4:00 PM – AGC NYS / NYSDOT Business Meeting

Following the equipment showcase and career fair, we will hold our regional business meeting with NYSDOT.
The discussion will include the capital program as well as technical and construction-related issues.

5:00 PM – Dinner & Clarkson Student Presentations
Following the business meeting, we will have dinner and hear presentations from Clarkson Construction
Engineering Management students on some of the projects they are currently working on.
